How Do I Store Lyka Meals?
Lyka meals should be kept in the refrigerator or freezer.
Because Lyka meals contain no artificial preservatives, they do not last indefinitely — and we believe that is a good thing.
Lyka pouches can be stored:
- In the freezer for up to 6 months
- In the fridge for 7 days unopened
- In the fridge for 3 days once opened
Meals can also be refrozen once after being defrosted.
To serve, remove the pouch before mealtime and place it in a bowl of hot water to defrost. Alternatively, move the next day’s pouch from the freezer to the fridge the night before so it can slowly defrost overnight.
Can I Mix Lyka With Other Dog Food?
Yes, Lyka can be mixed with other dog food.
When transitioning your puppy or dog onto Lyka, a gradual change is recommended. This allows your dog’s gut microbiome time to adjust to the new ingredients.
